About Hex Dump Viewer

This hex dump viewer turns text or an uploaded file into a canonical hex dump: a byte offset column, the raw bytes in hexadecimal, and an ASCII gutter showing which bytes are printable. It is the quickest way to see the exact bytes behind a string, spot an unexpected BOM or a stray carriage return, and confirm what a file really contains before you parse it.

How do I read a hex dump?

Each line starts with the byte offset in hexadecimal, so 00000010 is the seventeenth byte. The middle columns are the byte values in hex, split into two groups for easier counting. The text between pipes is the ASCII rendering, where any byte outside the printable range 0x20 to 0x7e shows as a dot. The final line is the total byte count in hex.
