Why Does a CSV Import Fail With No Error Message?

A CSV importer that reads row by row will often silently misalign columns on the first ragged row, shifting every field after it into the wrong column without raising an error. The same happens with a duplicate header name: only one of the two columns survives in a dictionary-based reader, and the other is silently dropped. Both problems are invisible in a spreadsheet viewer, which pads and truncates rows automatically. This validator checks the raw structure instead.
