Google's experimental AI image generation tool that uses reference images as subject, scene, and style inputs instead of text prompts.

Whisk is an AI image generation experiment from Google Labs that takes a fundamentally different approach to image creation: instead of writing text prompts, users drag and drop reference images into three input slots representing the subject, scene, and style. Whisk then generates new images combining elements from all three references, powered by Google's Imagen 3 and Gemini models. Each slot can be changed independently to remix the output. Whisk launched in December 2024 through Google Labs and is free to use with a Google account. It is designed to lower the barrier to image generation for users who think visually rather than through prompt engineering.
