ChatterMate is an Apache-2.0 licensed AI customer support platform you can self-host with Docker. Point it at your documentation or website and it indexes the content, then answers first-line questions grounded in that material with citations rather than free-form generation. When it cannot answer, or when a customer is clearly stuck, it hands off to a human with the full conversation context intact. Beyond chat it includes built-in ticketing that investigates and resolves issues, a no-code visual workflow builder, an auto-generated help centre that stays in sync with the same knowledge base, and lead capture that qualifies on intent. It runs across nine channels from one shared inbox, integrates with Slack, Shopify and Jira, and ships a CLI and an MCP server so agents can look up orders, issue refunds or call your own APIs mid-conversation. Self-hosting is unlimited and free. The hosted tier is free for the first 300 chats.
