Amazon Q Business is AWS's enterprise generative AI assistant that indexes company content from over 40 native data connectors - including Confluence, Jira, SharePoint, Salesforce, ServiceNow, and S3 - and lets employees ask natural language questions grounded in that internal knowledge. Unlike generic chatbots, every answer includes source citations linking back to the original documents, and the system fully respects existing IAM and SSO access controls so users only receive answers from content they are authorized to view. Q Business also supports actions: it can create Jira tickets, update Salesforce records, and send Slack messages through configurable plugins. Generally available from April 2024, it is priced at $3/user/month (Lite) and $20/user/month (Pro) as a fully managed AWS service.
